Fedora 18 VMware image

This Fedora 18 image has the new Gnome 3.x desktop on board. If you prefer the classical start menu we have also the Fedora 18 image with LXDE.

Fedora supports Gnome, KDE, LXDE, and xfce, but Gnome is still the default desktop environment of this fine distribution, You can safely expect that it is more polished and reliable than the other Fedora spins.

However, the usability of Gnome's new desktop ideas are still questionable. It is also not as fast as the LXDE version is.

Preinstalled apps: Firefox, LibreOffice, Simple Scan, Shotwell, Rhythmbox, Brasero, Cheese, Empathy, Evolution, Transmission, and many other tools.
